Where Can I Serve?

God has given each of us time, abilities, talents and treasures. At Westlock Gospel Chapel, you will find many opportunities to choose from to contribute your time and to use your God-given abilities and talents.

Sunday Morning Hosts

The hosting team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking/locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Music Ministry

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music  ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. You can serve by playing piano during our communion service or being part of a team during the Family Bible Hour. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Audio/Visual

Behind the scenes of our morning services are our audio/visual people. They set up and run the sound equipment and operate the presentation computer. All of our weekly sermons from the Family Bible Hour are uploaded to our website.

Coffee Break

In between the communion service and the Family Bible Hour, there is a time for fellowship together. Our coffee break volunteers prepare and clean-up beverages and snacks for everyone to enjoy while they spend time sharing with and encouraging one another.

Children’s & Youth Ministries

You can be involved by cuddling with babies in the nursery, being a Sunday school teacher or teacher’s helper for 2 years old up to grade 12. There are also opportunities to volunteer in Awana clubs and youth ministry.

Cleaning Teams

Janitorial teams work on a rotational basis every 6 weeks, and are made up of individuals as well as families. There is room for you to join an existing team, or make a new team with your friends or family!

Prayer Chain

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Contact the church office to find out more about our prayer chain ministry.
